4. Who helps us run Dasi
We share personal data only with service providers that process it on our behalf, under their own privacy and security commitments:
| Provider | What they do | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel Inc. | Hosts the website and app | United States, global network |
| Supabase Inc. | Database and sign-in (accounts, progress, waitlist) | Singapore |
| Anthropic PBC | AI model (Claude) that checks the sentences you submit | United States |
| Paddle.com | Reseller and merchant of record for web purchases, including tax and billing | United Kingdom, United States |
| Apple Inc. and Google LLC | App store purchases, and sign-in with Apple or Google if you choose it | United States |
| Google LLC (Gmail) | Our support email inbox | United States |
Sentences sent for feedback are sent without your name or email. Anthropic's commercial terms do not allow it to train its models on data sent through its API.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users. If Dasi is ever transferred to a new owner, your data would move with it under this policy, and we would tell you first.
5. International transfers
Dasi is run from the Philippines and our providers operate in other countries, including the United States, Singapore and the United Kingdom. When data leaves your country, we rely on safeguards such as the providers' standard contractual clauses and data processing agreements.
6. How long we keep it
- Account and learning data: while your account is open. Delete your account and we erase it within 30 days, apart from backups, which expire within a further 30 days.
- Waitlist email: until Dasi opens and we've sent the launch email, or until you ask us to remove it.
- Subscription and payment records: as long as tax law requires, usually up to 10 years.
- Support emails: up to 2 years after the conversation ends.
- Server logs: kept by our hosting providers for a short period, typically days to a few weeks.
7. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- show you the personal data we hold about you, or send you a copy;
- correct anything that's wrong;
- delete your data and your account;
- stop or limit certain uses, or object to them;
- withdraw consent you've given, such as for waitlist emails.
Email dasikoreanapp@gmail.com from the address on your account. We'll reply within 30 days. These rights include those under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012, the EU and UK GDPR, and US state laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. We do not sell or share personal data for cross-context advertising.
If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to your local data protection authority. In the Philippines that is the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph). We'd appreciate the chance to fix it first.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access to our systems is protected with two-factor sign-in, and the database is set up so each learner can only reach their own records. No system is perfectly secure, so we'll tell you promptly if a breach affects your data, as the law requires.
9. Children
Dasi is not meant for children under 13, or under 16 where local law sets a higher age for consent. If you believe a child has given us personal data without a parent's permission, email us and we'll delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For important changes, we'll tell you by email or in the app before they take effect.
