1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of 다시 Dasi ("Dasi", "we", "us"), based in Metro Manila, Philippines. They cover the website at dasikorean.com, the Dasi apps and everything in them (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

2. Who can use Dasi

You must be at least 13 years old, or older if your country requires it. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian should agree to these terms with you. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe and for activity on your account.

3. Free and Premium plans

The free plan includes part of Level 1. Premium unlocks all levels, grammar bites, scenes and AI sentence feedback. What each plan includes is shown on our pricing section and may change over time. If we remove a feature you're paying for, we'll tell you in advance.

4. Subscriptions, trials and payment

• Who sells it. Web purchases are processed by our online reseller, Paddle.com, which is the merchant of record for those orders and handles billing, taxes, invoices and payment questions. Purchases made in the iPhone or Android app are processed by Apple or Google under their own terms.
• Automatic renewal. Premium renews at the end of each monthly or yearly period, at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel.
• Free trial. Where a free trial is offered, you won't be charged if you cancel before it ends. When it ends, your subscription starts and the first charge is made.
• Cancelling. Cancel anytime from your account settings, from the link in your Paddle receipt, or from your Apple or Google subscription settings. You keep Premium until the end of the current period.
• Price changes. If the price changes, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
• Taxes. Prices may include or add taxes, depending on where you live.
• Refunds. See our Refund Policy.

5. AI sentence feedback

Some features send the Korean sentences you write to an AI model (Claude, by Anthropic) and show you suggested corrections. AI feedback is usually helpful but can be inaccurate or incomplete. Use your own judgement, and don't rely on it for important translations, legal, medical or official matters. Dasi is not affiliated with or endorsed by the official TOPIK exam or its organisers.

6. Acceptable use

Please don't misuse the Service. In particular, don't:

• copy, resell or republish Dasi's lessons, word lists, dialogues or audio;
• scrape the Service, or try to get around limits, the paywall or security;
• submit unlawful, hateful or harmful content, or other people's personal information;
• use the AI feedback feature for anything other than learning Korean;
• share your account with others.

7. Content and ownership

The lessons, word lists, example sentences, dialogues, design and software in Dasi are original works owned by us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own learning while you use the Service.

The sentences you write belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them to provide the Service, including sending them for AI feedback.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep Dasi available and your progress safe, but the Service may sometimes be interrupted, and we may improve, change or remove features. If we ever shut Dasi down, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice and a pro-rated refund for any prepaid period you can't use.

9. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from the app settings or by emailing us. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. If we close your account without a good reason under these terms, we'll refund any unused prepaid period.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise any particular learning result or exam score. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer laws that can't be waived in your country.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data you could reasonably have backed up. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. This doesn't limit liability for fraud, or for anything else the law says cannot be limited.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. If you live in another country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of that country, and you can bring a claim in your local courts where those laws allow it. Before any formal dispute, please email us so we can try to sort it out together.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before they apply. If you don't agree, you can cancel before they take effect.
